Catherine Phiri Msimuko Obituary, Zambia Death: ECZ Poll Staff Member Dies Unexpectedly in Mporokoso

The Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) community is mourning the untimely passing of Mrs. Catherine Phiri Msimuko, a Poll Staff member serving in Mporokoso District, whose sudden death has left her family, colleagues, and friends deeply saddened.

Mrs. Msimuko was also the beloved wife of Mr. Msimuko Malama, the Mporokoso District Returning Officer. Her passing has therefore brought particular sorrow to the ECZ family, where she was known not only as a colleague but also as a member of a family closely connected to electoral work in the district.

Sudden Illness While on Duty

According to the funeral announcement, Mrs. Msimuko was on duty when she complained of experiencing a headache. She later returned home, but the discomfort reportedly continued.

As her condition persisted, she was taken to Mporokoso District Hospital, where medical personnel found that she had very high blood pressure.

Despite efforts by medical professionals to save her life, Mrs. Msimuko sadly passed away at approximately 3:00 a.m.

Her death came unexpectedly, leaving those around her struggling to process the loss of a woman who had been carrying out her responsibilities only shortly before she became seriously unwell.
